It is very hard to get caught up in the day to day life and forget to slow down and enjoy the little things. This past week has shown just that to me. We are usually always so busy doing school related things, activities, birthday parties, you name it and we are probably trying to fit it in during the week. We recently got a new puppy and that has added a million more things to our schedule. Bringing home a new puppy has made me slow down our busy life so I can train her and we can enjoy family time and I realized just how much we were missing out on every day life.
I recently had the opportunity to listed to the new album from Pete Scobell. So who is Pete Scobell, well he is a former Navy Seal, competitive skier and athlete, mountain climber, inspiration and advocate turned Country Singer. His album is full of country songs that not only inspire but tell you to slow down and not take life for granted. His first song, Wild, is an amazing song about losing someone close to you and how we go through the pain, how we feel and remembering the good times, proving we are still Wild. His music goes back to how country music should sound, instead of most of the music that is being passed as Country these days. Those who live in the South know what I am talking about. Pete even wrote a song called “Hearts I Leave Behind” as a request from Taya Kyle, who is the widow of American Sniper, Chris Kyle. This song features Wynonna Jude and all procedes go to Kyle’s foundation.
My entire family has been listening to his album the past few days and every song is just so relatable and really shows you just need to start slowing down in life and appreciate everything, even the little things. His album is now available on iTunes for only $12.99, but I have a signed album to give away!! Keep reading to find out how you could win it!! Also, you can visit here for another chance to win a signed album + an Ocra 20 QT. Cooler (RV $239).
